DC Comics

Wow it is an exciting time if you love Warner Brothers and DC Comics. Wonderwoman, Flash, Batman, Superman, the Watchmen, Zantana, etc... DC is getting back into the game and seriously this time.

Joss Whedon is on board for directing and he did a fab job with Buffy the Vampire Slayer and I think he'll bring real character to the movie. Hopefully he'll have something to say about the script too! This is a different sort of movie unlike what movie goers have seen and I'm certain it will be different than the old TV series with Linda Carter.

Flash is on the go with Ryan Renolds cast to be flash. After seeing the TV series in the 90's I'm reluctant and scared of what another film will look like. Giving bit roles to Flash and keeping him as a character who we see for humour or when super speed is needed.

Batman with Christian Bale. Finally a dark messed up character to portray a dark film. Hopefully keeping with equally messed characters who stay within their comic existence (no more MUTANT Penguin or Arnold Mr Freeze!). There are so many ways to make Batman but dark and psychologically messed is the easiest way to be realistic.

Superman is back with a whimper. I say this because the franchaise has been blared in front of us since Lois & Clark. Dean Cain made a nice unsure actor, but the whole thing was a bit over the top.... Didn't you love every minute of it? Now we have Smallville all weird and quacky and I'm so watching it tonight! Now a new Superman, Kevin Spacey - actor extraordinaire as Lex Luther, Routh with a whole new Clark. I'm looking forward to Bryan Singer's interpretation of such a classic... I'm almost ready to go out and buy up the sets of Christopher Reeve's Superman!

That leaves us with a few oddballs like Zantana and the Watchmen. I'm sceptical, but anything is better than the Catwoman that just came out... Too bad we won't see Halley Berry in a DC film for a while because of it.

Yeah! Warner seems back in the game. Lets hope they take it serious this time and don't go all cooky. These films have great potential and well Wonderwoman and Flash totally can surprise me :D I'm expecting BIG things from Batman and Superman since they are the flagships of DC. Bring on an Aquaman, Green Lantern Corps or Green Arrow just because these series are just awesome!
